Chocolate Truffles

Fred and I have spent the morning making truffles for Father's Day. First I made a box from some black card, here is a link to make a box. Then we got making the truffle mix.

What you need:
300ml double cream
300g chocolate - we used 150g dark chocolate and 150g of milk chocolate (Green & Blacks!)
Toppings: for example, chopped nuts, cocoa powder, sprinkles etc.
Truffle cases (optional)

Method:
Heat the cream gently until at simmering point.

Meanwhile, bash the chocolate into pieces and pour into a mixing bowl.

When the cream is hot, pour into the chocolate and mix until it is a consistent mix.

Put the bowl in the fridge and forget about it for at least a couple of hours. If you want to speed it up, pour it into a flat cake tin and chill.

Later, pour your toppings onto separate plates ready to roll.

Take a teaspoon of the mix, roll it in the palm of your hands then immediately roll in your topping. Pop into the truffle case.

Keep them in the fridge.
